La Chouette

Chouette is the French term used to refer to a distinct family of owls called barn-owls. What is the difference? One easy way to tell is by the ears: the true owl has ear tufts whereas the barn-owl has none. 

The majestic chouette reigns in our forests. Its soft plumage and piercing eyes have made it an object of fascination for centuries. Often associated with wisdom and insight, this nocturnal bird is a symbol found in numerous cultures around the world. But there is much more to this bird than mere symbolism: its nearly silent flight, exceptional eyesight and keen hearing enable the chouette to detect a prey’s slightest movement and to hunt it with great precision.

Like the chouette, our studio is a sophisticated haven of peace steeped in a contemporary, minimalist style. 

Presence in the region

The Eastern Townships is a region of Quebec well known for its abundant wildlife, including the chouettes, which makes it a true paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Indeed, a great variety of birds, including several species of chouettes, shelter in the dense forests of Mt. Orford Park and other vast tracts of wilderness. `

With a little luck, you might even hear their distinctive hoot resonating through the hills and valleys of an Eastern Townships night.
